The goal of The Emotional Intelligence Project is to give students, teachers and parents and everyone who seeks it, the ability to understand their own and other people's emotions in order to increase well-being and acts of compassion.
Most conflicts arise, because we are not able to grasp the intention or the fear behind our own communication. Once we understand how we communicate and why and once we are ready to let go of our fears, we will be able to establish a much deeper connection to each other, that will serve as a profound basis for all our interactions. Our mission is to create an educational culture, that enhances emotional understanding and self-driven extraordinary learning experiences. Within this culture we hope to make space for a rather nurturing learning environment, which allows us to experience our full potential.
Emotional intelligence (EI) is the capacity of individuals to recognize their own, and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, as well as to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior.
Studies have shown that people with high EI have greater mental health, job performance, and leadership skills. Competencies like emotional self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation and empathy have not only a huge effect on our relationships, but as well on our job performance. Daniel Goleman, a famous New York Times journalist and author of the book "Emotional Intelligence" indicates that EI accounted for 67% of the abilities, that are deemed necessary for superior performance in leaders, and mattered twice as much as technical expertise or IQ.
We intend to help students of any age to reflect on their emotions, their actions and their dreams. We're running multiple initiatives, through which we're building a community and a hub - an enabling space if you will - to give everyone the opportunity to grow, enhance and recognize their emotional capabilities and potential.
Handling your own emotions and understanding others will empower you to see things from different angles and approach conflicts in a new way. Your self-confidence, your ability to focus, your happiness, your ability to make friends... all this is not easy to achieve by yourself. Thus, we've decided to provide extraordinary learning experiences, so you can drop your judgements and open your mind. Because the world is waiting for you to evolve...
